Are there any safe, healthy diet/exercise programs for teenagers?
I’m 15, and i weigh about 15 pounds above the weight i would like to weigh. I want to lose weight safely, and i really can’t.
I have exercised and eaten healthy.
Nothing works. Pleaseplease help me!
I have tried everything. And if it helps, i am 5′ 2 1/2" and i weigh 130, which in my opinion is big for a girl my size. My target weight is between 110-115. Please help. I’m so unhappy with myself.

Hi! I am 15 also, I was about 18 pounds overwieght when I was 14. I started dieting recently. I decieded to find a diet that wasn’t like a diet I didn’t want to loose the weight and then stop the diet and then boom gain all the weight back like most diets. I wanted a lifestyle change.
I have been eating the Atkins way and I look better and feel better than I have in my entire life. Before I ate the Atkins way I ate a lot because I felt hungry a lot because I wasn’t eating protien I was eating a lot of carbohydrates and sugar and that doesn’t stick with you. So now all I am eating is protien like meat and eggs, vegetables (peas are a starch just a little info lol), and some fruit. But remeber that some fruits like apples have A LOT of natural sugars. I also occasionally eat WHOLE grains. But not that often. I drink diet drinks ( I know I have heard all that stuff about how they are not good for you but they keep you slender) I also drink Fuze slederize low carb which only has 2 carbs and I drink a lot of water. I good target to loose weight is any where from a 100 carbs to 120, to maintain eat about 120 carbs to 150 carbs a day.
I also run a lot. The way I motivate myself is by finding a race (I run 5k’s which is 3.2 miles) my area that is about two monthes away. Then I start training for it. I start off by running one mile every other day. Then every week I add a half mile. So the next week I run a mile and half every other day. And the next week I ran two miles every other day. And I kept that up until I got to 4 miles. And I do that every other day. That makes you pretty fast for race day.
