Reverse crunches strengthen the lower abdominals.
Lie on your back, hands flat on the floor. Knees bent, raise your legs up as far as you can.  Lift your bottom off the floor if you can, then slowly lower legs.
Repeat for 25 repetitions.  Do 3 sets.

Don&#039;t forget to strengthen ALL of your abdominals for the best effect.
Upper abs=  normal crunches/sit-ups.
Obliques (sides)=  bicycle crunches, which is elbow to opposite knee.

To tighten the waist, do side bends while holding 2 dumbells.
Lean to the left, hold, then the right.  Slow and controlled.
